Parts of Habersham and Rabun counties were under a tornado warning from the National Weather Service for part of Wednesday afternoon, but officials in Habersham say no damage has been reported.

A statement issued by Habersham County Public Information Officer Rob Moore Wednesday evening said there have been reports of a funnel cloud spotted in the county during the storm.

"We are aware (of) a video of an apparent funnel cloud in the area of the Habersham County Airport near Baldwin," Moore said. "As of now we are blessed that we have received no reports of damage."

Rabun County officials have not publicly announced any damage from Wednesday's storms.

The storm system was not part of Hurricane Helene, but Hall County Emergency Management Director Zachary Brackett said it was influenced by the hurricane.
