Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is advising area commuters to plan according on Sunday, September 15 for a local road race.

Officials say the Dream Mile 5K/10K/Half Marathon will be taking place from 7:00 until 10:00 a.m.  in and around the Collection. Most of the affected roads include Ronald Reagan Boulevard, Majors Road and State Route 141 during these hours.

Race Officials remind commuters that their half marathon route will go through Peachtree Parkway to Big Creek Elementary School during the morning, and may cause longer travel times in reaching the First Redeemer Church.

Sheriff's officials ask that drivers use extreme caution, watch for the runners in this area, and to consider using alternate routes on Sunday morning.
