Week 4 was full of blowouts around the area.

West Hall blew out Johnson 73-0. Buford rolled over No. 7 Roswell. East Forsyth, North Hall, Rabun County, Towns County, Union County, Commerce, Jefferson, and White County all had double-digit wins.

Week 5 has the potential to bring much closer contests. The slate has 16 games, eight of which are region games.

Meanwhile, on the radio, we'll have a Top 5 battle between Class 5A No. 2 Gainesville and Class 6A No. 1 Carrollton. North Hall travels to rival Chestatee, and North Forsyth hosts rival South Forsyth.

Three games will be on the Jacobs Media airwaves and streaming live on AccessWDUN.com.  To follow scores and more this week, follow our Friday Game Night X for scores, stories and highlights.

South Forsyth at North Forsyth—The two Forsyth County rivals haven't played in two years. Now that North Forsyth is back in the same region as the War Eagles, the two will kick off region play in Raider Valley on Friday. The Raiders are one score away from being undefeated and had their biggest offensive performance in a 33-20 win over Lanier two weeks ago. This one is always a dandy. Expect nothing less on Friday in Coal Mountain. The game can be heard live on WDUN AM 550 (Click to listen live).

North Hall at Chestatee — Chestatee has only won twice in the 22-year Battle of Highway 60, with the last win coming in 2017 at the Lynn Cottrell Complex in Sardis. The War Eagles have greatly improved from last year and will be jacked up for the battle against their arch-rivals. However, North Hall is just as hungry and had a breakout game against East Hall last week. This one could either be a blowout or a down-to-the-wire battle in Sardis. The game can be heard live on FM 102.9 WDUN (Click to listen live).

Gainesville at Carrollton The second-ranked Red Elephants (Class 5A) will face their stiffest test yet when they travel to play Class 6A's top-ranked Carrollton on Friday. On the flip side, Carrollton will also be facing their stiffest test yet as well. It'll be a game full of Power 4 players. Both offenses are averaging 40 points per game. Gainesville's defense has been a bit better, giving up just 6 ppg, while the Trojans are yielding 10. You'll want to watch for this battle as it'll be one of the biggest games in the state on Friday. The game can be heard live on FM 94.5 The Lake (Click to listen live).
