BLAIRSVILLE, Ga – Union County got into the win column with a 49-6 win over Murray County to open region play Friday night.
Freshman quarterback Kamden Kendrick threw for four touchdowns, three to Maddox Young and the fourth to Tyler Parker. The Panthers added three rushing scores, two from Connor Schuknecht and one from freshman Micah Wallace.
Kendrick finished with 201 yards passing, while Young had 115 yards receiving and 30 yards rushing. Schuknecht finished with 105 yards rushing on the night.
Defensively, Caden McCombs and Ethan Lester combined for 18 tackles and an interception.
The Panthers will head over to Rockmart next week.
