White County Fire Service’s Division Chief Michael LeFevre was honored at a retirement reception on Thursday.

The reception was held at the White County Emergency Operations Center with friends, family, county officials, and fellow firefighters in attendance to celebrate LeFevre’s seven-year tenure with White County Fire Service.

“I am proud of what we've achieved together and grateful to have ended my 25-year career right here in White County,” LeFevre said. “This community has been incredibly supportive, and it’s been an honor to serve.”

LeFevre’s last day of service was Thursday following his retirement announcement in July.

“Mike has done a great job, and under his leadership we’ve seen significant accomplishments, including the long-awaited Public Safety Training Center that will benefit our community for years to come,” White County Public Safety Director David Murphy said at the reception.
