Gainesville police are investigating after a man was found dead in a room at a local hotel over the weekend.
A Facebook Post from the police department said officers responded at around 9 p.m. Saturday to the Haven Inn & Suites off Jesse Jewel Parkway for a welfare check when they found the body. Investigators have labeled the death as suspicious and are waiting for the results of the autopsy.
No other details on the case have been released as of Monday afternoon.
