A woman in Hart County was arrested on 26 counts of cruelty to animals.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County Animal Control, and the Georgia Department of Agriculture collaborated to investigate Southeast Welfare Animal Service located on 1158 Knox Bridge Crossing Rd. near Livonia.

The sheriff’s office and animal control responded to the kennel on Thursday to remove several of the dogs that had been kept there. The location had been licensed with the Georgia Department of Agriculture, but recently had the license revoked.

Authorities returned to the location on Friday, where they arrested Debra Delores Singletary, 67, and booked her into the Hart County Jail.

All animals have been removed from the property, with the exception of three personal animals that belong to Singletary, according to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation into the kennel is still ongoing.

Deborah Delores Singletary, 67, was arrested on 26 counts of cruelty to animals.
