A Gainesville man was arrested on Monday after Hall County investigators allegedly seized nearly 2 pounds of methamphetamine in Oakwood.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said an investigation into Delany Eugene Vandyke, 52, began in July and ended with a search warrant at a location on Reed Drive.

Members of the HCSO Special Investigations Unit seized 2.1 pounds of methamphetamine with most of it packed for individual sale, according to the sheriff's office. The estimated street value of the drugs is $50,000.

Vandyke was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, trafficking of methamphetamine and sale of methamphetamine, all felony crimes. Vandyke also had a hold for probation violation.

He remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond.
