Back to School week for many commuters is seeing a small showing of math subtraction in gas prices for Georgians.

AAA of Georgia's website shows the average price for unleaded gasoline statewide is at $3.22 per gallon, as of Monday.  That's two cents lower than one week ago, according to their price chart page.

Despite a week of heavy storms hitting the Gulf Coast and much of the eastern seaboard, the weather has now swayed crude oil production for the time being, and the increased traffic for school buses and families commuting to schools has not affected prices.

Hall County gas consumers are seeing an average price below the state average, at $3.17 per gallon, two cents lower than last week.  The lowest average price in Northeast Georgia can be found in Stephens County, at $3.10 per gallon.  Highest averages can be found in Rabun County , at $3.29 per gallon.

Nationwide, AAA shows the average price also dropped three cents from a week ago, to $3.44 per gallon, as of Monday.  A link to find gas prices in Georgia can be found here.
