Authorities say a crash left a truck carrying explosives overturned on Interstate 85 in Jackson County Monday afternoon.
Georgia State Patrol officials said one tractor-trailer attempted to avoid hitting the other truck which caused it to overcorrect and overturn.
“The over-turned tractor-trailer was carrying explosive ordinance [sic],” GSP said in an email to AccessWDUN.
All lanes of I-85 were initially shut down but the northbound lanes have been reopened according to Jefferson police.
One person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
