Weather temperatures in Georgia are mirroring gas prices statewide this week, by dropping slightly for the first time in a while.

Figures from AAA of Georgia show that Georgians are paying an average price of $3.34 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline, and that's five cents per gallon less than last week, the first drop in prices in three weeks.

Montrae Waiters of Triple-A says Crude oil prices continue to fluctuate and current demand is down, which assists in lowering prices at the pumps. Waiters adds that officials cannot predict if gas prices will rise again this week with prices remaining volatile.

Hall County residents are seeing an average price of about $3.33 per gallon today (Monday), with the lowest average price found in Towns County, at $3.17 per gallon for northeast Georgia commuters, and the highest average price found in Lumpkin County, at $3.45 per gallon.

Nationally, the average price remains just above $3.50 per gallon, despite a slight decline in most states.  A full veiw of the gas prices in Georgia can be seen on AAA's website page, found here.
