A North Hall Middle School teacher will compete at the national level for the Ideas Unlimited Award.
Agriculture teacher Leigh Strawbridge won the award at the state level and then at the regional level, competing against six other states in Region V.
The Ideas Unlimited contest is sponsored by the National Association of Agriculture Educators.
The purpose of the contest is for teachers to exchange classroom and teaching ideas.
Strawbridge was nominated by her peers for the award for a project called the Agricultural Supply and Demand Great Food Truck Race.
Through this project, students are able to learn about agriculture as a global market. Students focus on the supply and demand of agricultural commodities and then apply their knowledge to create a food truck business and themed menu.
Strawbridge won the regional award in Perry, Georgia and will now go to San Antonio, Texas in December for the national contest.
