The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office on July 3 arrested a man after he allegedly transported a 14-year-old North Carolina girl to Georgia.
The Sheriff’s Office Trafficking and Child Exploitation and Gang Units were contacted on July 3 by the United States Marshals for help finding the girl.
Kevin Carcamo-Garcia, 18 of Lilburn was reportedly in a relationship with the girl. He was arrested at his home in Lilburn.
According to the sheriff's office, Carcamo-Garcia admitted to transporting the girl from North Carolina to Georgia.
The girl was found safe, transferred to the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services and returned to her mother.
Carcamo-Garcia faces charges of statutory rape and child molestation.
He was booked in the Gwinnett County Jail on $11,400 bond.
