A woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly prevented a 15-year-old girl from leaving her home in Gainesville.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Derreck Booth said deputies arrived at around 12:15 a.m. to a reported domestic incident at a home in the 3000 block of Trahylita Place.

During the initial incident Felicia Elizabeth Chambers, 37 allegedly locked the door and pushed the victim, which resulted in a scratch to her arm.

“The victim was able to leave the residence with the help of a man, 17, who had been involved in the initial dispute,” Booth said in an email to AccessWDUN.

Warrants were taken for Chambers’ arrest on charges of felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery.

She was arrested and taken to the Hall County Jail where she remains without bond.
