Atlanta man arrested for vehicle break-ins at Hall County parks in 2023

An Atlanta man was arrested Wednesday for multiple car break-ins in November of 2023 at Hall County parks. 

The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Antrone Tremaine Hughes, age 44, was moved on July 3 from the Forsyth County Jail and booked at the Hall County Jail. Investigators identified Hughes as a suspect in the crimes and issued warrants for his arrest on May 31.

The crimes reportedly occurred at Little Hall Park on Dawsonville Highway, Balus Creek Park on Mountain View Road and Sardis Park on Antioch Church Road.

In the crimes at Little Hall Park on Nov. 18, one car was entered a purse and smartphone were stolen. On Nov. 19, 2023, at Balus Creek Park one vehicle was entered and one handgun stolen.

According to the sheriff’s office, Four vehicles were entered on Nov. 25 at Sardis Park. Two handguns were stolen from one vehicle, one handgun was stolen from a second vehicle, a set of golf clubs was stolen from a third vehicle, and nothing was stolen from the fourth vehicle.

Hughes allegedly damaged the vehicles to enter them. He is being held at the Hall County Jail on a $34,200 bond.
