River Forks Park and Campground will host an outdoors activity event on July 13.
The River Forks Explorer event at River Forks Park and Campground is designed primarily for kids in grades K-8, but they do say everyone is welcome.
Activities will include a boating cruise, a scavenger hunt, a life jacket tutorial, s’mores, a canine interaction, and a tent demonstration.
The event is free and open to the public.
Participants will receive an explorers card at the start of the event and proceed to various stations around the park. Once all stations are visited, they will earn a special River Forks Explorer pin as a token.
Hall County Parks and Leisure does recommend participants to wear sunscreen, clothes that they are okay getting wet in, and a towel.
Registration will begin at 11:15 a.m. with activities running from 12-3 p.m.
