Baldwin Police search for missing local teen has happy outcome

UPDATE- Friday, July 5, 2024:  Baldwin Police has posted on social media that missing 15-year old Jacob Jaros has been located, and is back home, safely, with his family.

The Baldwin Police Department issued a Be on the Lookout alert on their Facebook page for 15-year-old Jacob Jaros.

The post says that Jaros went missing from the Banks Ridge Subdivision on Wednesday night.

He stands at 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 130 lbs and was last seen wearing tan cargo shorts and a blue shirt with a white Under Armor logo.

Jacob is high functioning but on the autism spectrum and according to his family, Jacob has become more non-verbal as of recently so he may or may not speak with anyone he encounters. 

A search is under way for Jacob Jaros in the Park Avenue and Banks Ridge neighborhoods in Baldwin.

Anybody with information about the whereabouts of Jacob Jaros are asked to call 911 or Habersham County Dispatch at 706-778-3911.
