The Independence Day holiday week has arrived, and AAA prepares to rescue nearly 800,000 drivers nationwide with car trouble during the week.

The Auto Club Group is activating its Tow to Go program in Georgia and other select states, by offering a safe ride for would-be-impaired drivers and their vehicles.  By proiding the program, Montrae Waiters of AAA says Tow-to-Go gives drivers no excuse for driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or impairing medications.

Waiters adds, "We implore you to think ahead and enlist a friend to take on the role of your designated driver. If those plans fall through, you can call Tow to Go and AAA will arrange for a safe ride for you.”

Towto Go can provide the following to AAA members and non-members:

Georgia is among more than ten states and regions nationwide involved with the program, and joins Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Colorado (Denver), North Carolina (Charlotte), and Indiana (Fort Wayne/South Bend) in taking part in the rescue service.  Call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246 for customer service.

This service is free, regardless of whether the caller is a AAA member.
