The Gwinnett County Police Department arrested 10 individuals on gambling-related charges on Tuesday, shutting down an illegal casino in the process.

According to officials, the investigation began in 2023 after a traffic stop where the occupant told an officer he had just left a casino in the area.

Undercover officers visited Sosa’s Billiards in unincorporated Norcross and confirmed the illegal gambling operation. This led to Tuesday’s search warrant that led to the arrests and charges.

66-year-old Steven Bae Kim of Duluth, Georgia was identified as the owner and charged with commercial gambling, keeping a place of gambling, and gambling.

40-year-old Seth Abernathy of Auburn, Georgia was identified as an employee and charged with commercial gambling.

Eight others were also arrested and charged with gambling.
