White County Public Safety announced Wednesday the launch of “Logan’s List” a program created by White County E911 Communications to improve emergency response for those with special needs and people with specific medical conditions.

Georgia State Legislators recently mandated the initiative in HB631.

Logan's List or “Logan’s Law”  requires 911 Centers across Georgia to create a database of children with special needs and autism within their area. White County expanded on this to allow any resident to enroll voluntarily.

Participants can submit critical information such as chronic medical conditions, medication lists, gate codes and emergency contacts.

White County officials said that information is securely stored on HIPAA-compliant servers and is readily available to dispatchers and first responders during emergencies.

"Our goal is to provide tailored and efficient care to our community members in times of crisis," David Murphy, Director of White County Public Safety said. "Logan's List ensures that our first responders have immediate access to vital information, enabling them to offer the best possible assistance."

Information that can be submitted includes:

- Emergency Contacts

- Medication List

- Medical Conditions

- Gate Codes

- Dementia and Autism Questionnaires

Residents interested in enrolling in Logan's List can fill out the online form at whitecounty-loganslist.com.

"By enrolling in Logan's List, citizens play an active role in enhancing their own safety and well-being, as well as that of their loved ones," Bryce Barrett, White County Public Information Officer said "We encourage everyone to take advantage of this resource."
