A Gainesville man was arrested Tuesday morning after a search warrant executed on May 30 at his home allegedly found him in possession of several drugs.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Service Unit Deputies arrested Thomas Gary Sweatman, 70, of Gainesville, at his residence on the 2000 block of Candler Road.
Investigators reportedly seized 9.5 grams of methamphetamine, one gram of THC oil, 12 grams of marijuana, seven oxycodone pills, a handgun and more than $37,000 in cash during the search. The drugs were estimated to have a street value of $1,200.
Sweatman was initially arrested for the possession of methamphetamine on May 30, but investigators later obtained additional warrants resulting in Tuesday’s arrest.
Sweatman faces the following charges in connection with the search of his residence:

Felony Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

Felony Possession of THC oil

Felony Possession of a schedule II drug

Felony Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Felony Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

Misdemeanor Possession of marijuana
He remains in the Hall County Jail as of last report.
