There is little movement in gas prices for Georgia's commuters from the past week.

AAA of Georgia is reporting the average gas price for unleaded regular across the state dropped one cent from last week, down to $3.28 per gallon as of Monday morning.

That's 12 cents less than just one month ago and a penny below the average from one year ago.

Slack demand, rising supply and low crude oil prices are the reasons for the current gas prices, according to the AAA's Montrae Waiters. She cautions Georgia's commuters to be advised that this may change in the weeks ahead.  "We've got the 4th of July coming up soon, and that might pump up gas prices again.”

Lowest average price in Northeast Georgia is in Stephens County, at $3.16 per gallon, while Hall County's average price sits below $3.25 per gallon. The highest average price in the area can be found in Rabun County, at $3.34 per gallon.

The national average price for unleaded regular gasoline, according to the AAA website, is at $3.44 per gallon on Monday morning.  A link to see average prices throughout Georgia can be found, here.
