A second person has now been arrested in an April crash in Oakwood that left a person from Gainesville dead.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office reported that Rodolfo Bedolla-Sifuentes, age 19 of Mexico, was arrested Monday afternoon on a list of charges including street racing and homicide by vehicle. He's being held in the Hall County Jail without bond as of Wednesday.
A report from the Georgia State Patrol said the wreck happened the afternoon of April 12 on Atlanta Highway just south of Milton Martin Toyota Way. Bedolla-Sifuentes was reportedly driving south on Atlanta Highway in a white 2007 BMW 335. While he was driving, a black 2008 Infiniti G35 was driving in the lane next to Bedolla-Sifuentes at high speeds.
That vehicle, driven by Alejandro Torrecillas-Reyes of Oakwood, then hit the rear of a tan 2004 Mercury Mountaineer driven by Feliciano Burciaga-Rios of Gainesville. That colission caused Burciaga-Rios' vehicle to overturn multiple times before it then struck Bedolla-Sifuentes' vehicle.
Burciaga-Rios died from injuries sustained in the wreck. The state patrol said Bedolla-Sifuentes fled the scene before being found nearby in the parking lot of an AutoZone store on Atlanta Highway.
Torrecillas-Reyes was listed as the at-fault driver in the crash. He was arrested that day and later released from the Hall County jail on more than $12,000 bond.
