The gas prices for Georgia commuters is heading in a favorable direction this week.

Georgia gas price average AAA of Georgia says that averages prices for unleaded regular gasoline has dropped at the pump compared to a week ago. Georgians are paying an average price of $3.28 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline, as of  Monday. The state average is 7 cents less than a week ago, 14 cents less than a month ago, and 2 cents more than this time last year.

Montrae Waiters of AAA of Georgia says, With crude oil prices remaining low, an abundance of gas supply, and meager demand, all keep fuel costs low. But the summer travel season is just around the corner, and that could mean our gas prices may go back up.”

In Hall County, commuters should see an average price around $3.23 per gallon, a slight drop from last week's average.  The lowest average price per gallon in northeast Georgia can be found in Stephens County, at $3.15 per gallon, with the highest average price found in Rabun County at $3.35 per gallon.

Since last Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline went down 9 cents to $3.44 per gallon. You can find AAA's chart for prices here at their website.
