A Norcross woman accused of intentionally setting two residential fires was found and taken into custody Friday.

Warrants for the arrest of Hong T. Huynh, 61, were issued after Gwinnett County Fire Investigators determined two early morning fires on June 1 that displaced four adults and two children were purposefully set and connected.

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services initially responded to a fire at a two- story residence on the 6000 block of Buckingham Court in Norcross at 5:45 a.m after a caller reported their neighbor’s garage was in flames, and a victim was on the scene.

First responders were able to contain the fire by 6:13 a.m. One adult male was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The incident displaced a family of four.

While crews worked to contain the first fire, a second fire was reported on the 1300 block of Turners Ridge Drive  in Norcross at 6:04 a.m. Similar to the first incident, the fire was in a two-story home, but was confirmed to have an exterior source. The flames were contained by 6:20 a.m. No serious injuries were reported, and the home sustained moderate damage.

The American Red Cross helped those displaced in the incident.

Huynh is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
