Carole King's song, "I Feel the Earth Move", could be the theme song for a handful of northeast Georgia's residents from Thursday night.

The US Geological Survey from the National Earthquake Information Center reported a slight rumbling of an earthquake Thursday night in the Buford area.  Very slight, nonetheless.

The 2.3 Kilometer earthquake occurred at around 11:15 p.m. and was only a depth of about 3 miles.

Residents along the south side of Lake Lanier would have been the ones to feel any type of vibrations during the time of the mild, minor detection.
