Gwinnett County Fire Investigators issue arrest warrants related to two residential fires

Fire investigators in Gwinnett County have issued multiple warrants for a suspect in two residential fires this past weekend.

A 61-year-old Norcross woman, Hong Huynh, is the prime suspect in the fires that officials say were intentionally set.

On Saturday, June 1st, Gwinnett County Fire Services responded to a reported house fire in the 6000 block of Buckingham Court in Norcross at 5:45 a.m. 

One adult male resident was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The fire at this residence was controlled by 6:13 a.m. and displaced a family of four who are now receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

Less than 20 minutes later at 6:04 a.m., another house fire was reported in the 1300 block Turners Ridge Drive, with moderate structure damage but no life-threatening injuries. The fire was controlled by 6:20 a.m.

The American Red Cross is also assisting four adults and two minors who were displaced due to the fire.

Officials say the fires are connected and were intentional. The investigation is still underway according to Gwinnett Fire Services, and anyone with information about these fires is asked to contact the Gwinnett County Fire Investigations Section at (678) 518-4890 or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1 (800) 282-5804
