On May 29, Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man allegedly in possession of 102 grams of marijuana with packaging, eight THC vape pens, and two handguns.
Deputies were originally conducting a routine traffic stop for a taillight that was not working, but during the stop of Jesus Lopez Jr., 42, of Gainesville, is when they found the alleged substances and handguns.
Lopez Jr. has been charged with felony intent to distribute, eight counts of felony possession of a schedule I drug, two counts of felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts of felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Lopez Jr. was also cited for the nonworking taillight. He was transported to Hall County Jail following the arrest on Thurmon Tanner Parkway near GA 53 and Mundy Mill Road and is being held without bond as of this afternoon.
