LAGRANGE, Ga. — Cherokee Bluff's Alisa Presley turned in a Day 1 best even-par 72 to lead the field in the Monday Class 4A state tournament at Fields Golf Club.
North Hall's Lillie Mallis shot a five-over par 77 to finish second.
The Lady Trojans are in third place after a Day 1 score of 281, five strokes behind leader Madison County.
The final round will begin on Tuesday at Fields Golf Club at 9 a.m.
In Class 3A, Dawson County girls finished day one in second place, 13 strokes behind leader Savannah Christian at Lafayette Municipal Golf Course. Samantha Dewendt shot a six-over 78 and is in third place. She's seven strokes behind leader Ava Cottis from Savannah Christian.
White County is two strokes behind the Tigers and 15 off the lead.
The final day of action is set to begin Tuesday at 11 a.m.
