Gwinnett Police search for alleged jewelry thief in Lawrenceville

Gwinnett County Police Department (GCPD) needs help in locating a female whoe allegedly stole $3,200 worth of jewelry from a local retail store in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
 
The Gwinnett Police social media posts say that on March 4, 2024, 29-year old Audrina Victoria Smith of Maryland walked inside the Jewelry Box located at 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway in unincorporated Lawrenceville, to shop for jewelry pieces. The clerk at the store tended to the female by allowing her to try on a Rolex necklace.
 
After trying the necklace, the clerk removed it and placed it on the counter, when Smith allegeldy slid the necklace underneath her wallet to conceal it and left without making a purchase.
 
Detectives were able to look at the surveillance video and see that Audrina Smith arrived and left in a red Mazda passenger car. Detectives were able to use cameras with records showing the vehicle tag was a temporary Missouri license plate.
