Elbert County teen driver of a 4-wheel ATV seriously injured

A juvenile driver of a 4-wheeler is recovering from serious injuries after colliding with a tree in Elbert County on Monday evening.

Georgia State Patrol Corporal William Jordan says the 14-year old rider was hurt in the crash at around 7:25 p.m. Monday along Mobley Hill Road while travelling southbound when their Arctic Cat  4-wheeler left the roadway, striking a tree and overturned.

The teen was airlifted from the scene to Prisma Helathcare in Greenville, South Carolina with the undisclosed serious injuries. 

No other injuries were reported.
