Overall, it was a tough night for northeast Georgia area teams in Thursday's second-round action in the Georgia High School Association soccer playoffs.
The Towns County girls were the only one of three area teams in action to advance with a 5-0 win over Christian Heritage on the road.
However, the Rabun County and Towns County boys both saw their seasons come to an end.
Rabun County was routed on the road by Atlanta International, the No. 1-ranked and defending Class A Division 1 state champion.
And the Towns County boys were eliminated 3-1 by Wheeler County.
The Towns County girls move on to the quarterfinals and will travel to Hawkinsville on Monday.
