The Hall County School Board announced at their meeting on Monday night that they have approved of the Ivester Future Educators program.

The program is a partnership between the Hall County School District, the University of North Georgia's College of Education & Ivester Early College.

This new program aims to help students obtain a role in education and stay local in the North Georgia area.

The cohort will see one to two rising junior/senior cohorts of Ivester Early College be selected to attend planned academic classes, mentorships & internships geared toward educational degrees.

Students approved of this program must have a 3.0 GPA for acceptance into UNG and a qualifying admissions test score.

The application process will begin in the Fall semester of 2024.
