Commerce man arrested for 2019 convenience store burglary

A Commerce man has been arrested in connection with a 2019 burglary of a convenience store in northern Banks County.

A release Monday afternoon from the Banks County Sheriff's Office said Ray Bernard Collins, Jr. was arrested on Thursday after a forensic investigation identified him as the suspect in the burglary of Four Way Stop convenience store on Damascus Road near Baldwin on October 4, 2019.

The burglar had reportedly broken a window, entered the store and stolen items from inside. Collins is being charged with second-degree burglary.
