The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office will soon host a hiring event to find qualified individuals to fill various positions within the department.
The Embrace the Call Hiring Expo will take place on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the GCSO headquarters in Lawrenceville. During the event, attendees will be introduced to members of the Sheriff’s Office Jail Operations, Field Operations, Administrative Services, Court Services, Support Services, Mental Health Task Force, Training, Community Outreach, and Explorer Post 699. The event will also feature jail tours, training and drone demonstrations.
The office will be offering on- site fast-track applications and conditional job offers. Applicable positions are as follows:

- Part-time Cook
- Jailer - Jailer, Senior
- Deputy Sheriff, Senior
- Deputy Sheriff, Senior Part-time
- Food Services Supervisors
- HVAC Controls Tech Senior
- Sheriff Processing Associate I&II
- Trades Supervisor (Plumbing)
- Trades Technician II & III
Additionally, some positions may offer a hiring bonus, which include:
- Deputies $5,400
- Jailers $4,800
- Cook $3,200
- Cook Senior $3,500
- Food Services Supervisor $3,600
