Fire crews responded Saturday morning to a business in Flowery Branch after smoke was spotted in the building.

Hall County Fire Rescue Division Chief Bobby Ogletree said slight haze and the smell of smoke was reported inside the PetSmart at Stonebridge Village on Spout Springs Road. When fire crews arrived, no active fire was spotted, and the smoke was found to be coming from an office area.

Crews reportedly secured power to a water heater, which resolved the issue. The cause was deemed to be a mechanical issue.

The animals in the business were not evacuated due to what fire officials called limited smoke and no active fire on the scene.
