Hope For Hall  released a first look at its second inclusive playground slated to open at Sandra Dunagan Deal Elementary School.

In a Facebook post, the non–profit showed several renderings of the forthcoming play area, which will feature accessible equipment for students of all abilities to enjoy. Inclusive pieces on the playground will include an accessible whirl, rubber surfacing throughout 50 percent of the play area, two accessible swings, an inclusive zoomtrax zipline, a roller slide, musical maze, and a communication board.

The playground will also feature a train-themed structure  with eight sensory panels in recognition of a donation to the project from Norfolk Southern.

Excess money raised for the inclusive playground at Wauka Mountain Elementary School and funding from the Hall County School District will also support the project, according to the non-profit.

Future Principal of Sandra Dunagan Deal Elementary School Keri Smith shared her enthusiasm for the inclusive playground.

“I'm just so excited that we are getting this playground, mainly to open up opportunities for our community to have a place to play,” she said. “ …The first playground opening was a success, and I'm expecting that the opening of our inclusive playground at Sandra Dunagan Deal Elementary School will be a success as well.”

The post emphasized that the playground will be completed this summer.
