Gas prices for commuters in Georgia remain steady at the pump from one week ago.
Georgia Drivers are paying an average price of $3.35 per gallon for regular gasoline. Monday's state average remains the same from one week ago, is 22 cents more than a month ago, and 13 cents more than this time last year, according to the AAA of Georgia website.
Montrae Waiters of AAA says there is one main reason behind the recent price concerns, being that, "rising crude oil prices continue to be the main culprit," influencing the rates.
Hall County's average gas price at the pump sits at $3.31 pre gallon, with the lowest average price in Northeast Georgia at Towns County, around $3.17. The highest price found in Franklin County at $3.38.
Since last week, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has increased by 7 cents to $3.53 per gallon.
