Hall County Elections announced Thursday it is looking to recruit 600 poll workers for the upcoming election season.
Hall County Government officials said a hiring drive will be hosted from Mar. 26 through Mar. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hall County Government Center in Gainesville.
“We need poll workers who are willing to serve during the upcoming General Primary on May 21, as well as the General Election on November 5,” Hall County Elections Manager Paige Thompson said.
Poll workers must be at least 16 years old and a Hall County resident, although residents of neighboring counties may also qualify.
“Poll working is a crucial part of the election process and ensures Hall County continues to provide secure, successful and stress-free elections to citizens,” Thompson said. “It is important we find workers who are serious about elections, reliable and committed.”
Hall County Elections is especially seeking Spanish speakers to join their ranks.
Poll workers will receive paid, necessary training before the election season.
