GAINESVILLE, Ga. — North Hall has found its next girls basketball head coach.
North Hall athletic director Sam Borg announced on Wednesday night that Anna Claire Atha will be the next coach of the Lady Trojans.
Atha, a former NCAA Division 1 basketball player, comes to North Hall from Starr’s Mill High School, where she led the program to the Region 4-4A championship and a quarterfinal appearance this season.
“I am extremely thankful to be named the next head coach at North Hall,” Atha said in a statement. “We will work to continue and build on the long-standing success of the program.”
Atha replaces Eric Herrick, who stepped down last week. Herrick was recently named head girls coach at Creekview High School in Cherokee County.
“Our girls will fall in love with the game as they play under Coach Atha’s leadership,” Borg said.
