The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is set to re-open Tuesday after being temporarily closed.
The shelter closed to the public in early March after a few animals in the facility tested positive for parvovirus.
After following all quarantine protocols for the virus, shelter staff and the Department of Agriculture have determined it's safe to reopen to the public and resume intakes and adoptions.
The shelter will continue with its regular schedule beginning at 10 a.m.
