Buford man arrested in Flowery Branch for possession of methamphetamine

The Flowery Branch Police Department arrested on Tuesday a man from Buford after authorities allegedly uncovered illegal drugs in a storage unit. 

FBPD officials said the renter of the storage unit Kevin Tyler Hunter, 36 was arrested at Flowery Branch Mini Storage on Chattahoochee Street after officers searched the unit.

During the search, officers found nearly 32 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug-related packaging material, smoking devices and multiple pills classified as Schedule 1,2 and 3.

According to officials, officers also recovered a stolen 2003 Chevrolet Express van. 

Hunter is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, trafficking of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance, possession of a schedule 3 controlled substance, possession of a schedule 4 controlled substance, theft by receiving stolen property and possession of drug-related objects. 

Hunter is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond.
