No.9 Habersham Central will try to remain perfect and atop the Region 8-6A standings on Monday as one of several key region matchups across the area.
The Raiders (10-1, 3-0 Region 8-6A) will travel to Shiloh (4-6, 0-3 Region 8-6A) to open a two game series. Jackson County (3-8, 0-0 Region 8-6A) opens its region slate on the road against Gainesville (3-6, 0-2 Region 8-6A) at Ivey-Watson Field.
Region 8-7A will gets region schedule underway on Monday, with sixth-ranked Buford (6-4, 0-0 Region 8-7A) playing host to Mountain View (4-4, 0-0 Region 8-7A) to open a three-game series.
Region 8-4A, which has five teams ranked in the top 10 in the latest coachesbox.org poll, will open its subregion schedule on both sides on Monday. The biggest showdown will have No. 7 East Forsyth (10-3, 0-0 Region 8-4A) traveling to No. 6 North Hall (11-1, 0-0 Region 8-4A) to open a huge three-game series at Lynn Cottrell Field. Chestatee (7-6, 0-0 Region 8-4A) takes on East Hall (2-10, 0-0 Region 8-4A) at Lynn Cottrell Complex to open a three-game series.
In Region 8-5A, Jefferson and Flowery Branch are among three teams to open region play last week with a win and both will be in action on Monday. The Dragons (5-7, 1-0 Region 8-5A) play host to Clarke Central (2-8, 0-1 Region 8-5A) while the Falcons (4-6, 1-0 Region 8-5A) travel to Winder-Barrow (2-10, 0-1 Region 8-5A).
