Dr. Stacy Hall, Vice President of Advancement, announced Wednesday that Danny Hendrix was appointed Associate Vice President for Development and Church Relations.
TMU officials said in a press release that the new position will play a significant role in the ongoing success of the university and its future growth.
In the position, Hendrix will cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors, prospective donors and churches while implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies that help meet the university’s needs.
“After a thorough search for the right candidate, I am thrilled to announce that Danny has joined our staff. Danny and his family are passionate about TMU and understand our mission and culture. I have every expectation that Danny will play an integral part in our ability to advance this university,” Hall said.
Hendrix commented on his feelings as he entered the role.
“My wife and I are so excited to come back home to Truett McConnell University! I can’t wait to get to know the many alumni, family, and friends that are very special to TMU, and to spread the news of all that God is doing ‘on the mountain’! I pray that everyone can come to love the mission of the University as much as we do. I look forward to connecting with our many partners over the coming months,” Hendrix said.
Hendrix and his wife Heather are graduates of TMU. All three of their sons Hyatt, Truett and Ellis attended TMU.
According to the release, Hendrix has spent nearly 30 years in ministry and 13 years directing and fundraising for non-profits.
Hendrix will begin the role on Apr.1.
