Despite heavy rain overnight, and more expected throughout the day on Wednesday, northeast Georgia area baseball teams will try to get their games in as scheduled today.
North Forsyth and Apalachee are set continue their Region 8-6A series after the Wildcats upset the Raiders on Monday. Buford and Loganville have a showdown of ranked teams scheduled at Gerald McQuaig Field.
And in Region 8-4A crossover games, four teams ranked in Class 4A are set to square off. No. 4 North Oconee travels to No. 7 East Forsyth while No. 1-ranked Cherokee Bluff is playing host to No. 9 Walnut Grove.
In Region 7-3A, Lumpkin County travels to White County open their region slates with a doubleheader in Cleveland.
Chestatee and Seckinger also are set to meet at the Lynn Cottrell Complex in Region 8-4A crossover action. Sixth-ranked North Hall plays host to Cedar Shoals at Lynn Cottrell Field.
