Baseball: Light schedule but rain already affecting area teams

The threat of rain has already forced the Region 7-3A openers for Lumpkin County and White to move to Wednesday.

That was the highlight of a light schedule on Tuesday, which also had Rabun County and Commerce set to open in Region 8-A Division 1 as well. However, Commerce moved its game with Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy to Monday (the Tigers lost 4-3) and now has a doubleheader with BASA set for Thursday in Commerce.

The Lumpkin County-White County showdown in Cleveland has been moved to Wednesday as part of doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m.

So far, that is the only game to move but with storms expected to hit the area in the early afternoon, AccessWDUN Sports will update this story as we get more changes.
