GAINESVILLE, Ga. — North Hall swept Jackson County on Thursday at the North hall Courts.
The North Hall boys lost just eight games in a 5-0 win while the Lady Trojans won a tough 3-2 decision over the Lady Panthers.
For the boys, Jack Maddox defeated Clayton Fairbank 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and Griffin Keener beat Avery Gordon by the same 6-2, 6-1 scored at No. 2. Cole Grover took out Jarrett Burch 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles to clinch the match.
The No. 1 doubles team of Luis Delgado and Brooks Dorsey and the No. 2 doubles of Easton McNair and James Floyd both took 6-0, 6-0 wins.
In the girls match, North Hall's Lilly Perry beat Skylar Xiong 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and Maggie Perry beat Quylan Johnson 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles for a pair of early wins. Jackson County got on the board with Maixian Johnson's 6-2, 7-6 win over Kate Rogers at No. 3 singles.
The Lady Panthers evened the match at No. 1 doubles with Brooklyn Clerici and Lili Potter knocking off Amelia Moore and Mary Eloise Tymchuk 6-1, 6-2. North Hall got the match winner at No. 2 doubles with Ali Moore and Braely Jarrard beating Rylee Kohan and Armani Ly 6-3, 7-5.
The North Hall girls improved 4-1 and the North Hall boys are now 3-2 on the season. Both teams will open region 8-4A play on Monday playing host to Chestatee.
