Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has created a mentorship program pairing new employees with senior officers.

According to a release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office, development of the "Overwatch" program has been underway for the past year.  "Overwatch" has trained 30 mentors, and many already have been paired with mentees.

Sheriff Gerald Counch says, “Most people understand how stressful a law enforcement career is; our goal is to provide not only the physical equipment for our team members to do their jobs, but also personal support for our men and women.”

The program was created to promote healthy employee development, while boosing recruitment and retention at the Sheriff's Office, to provide more well-rounded officers and strengthen retention of staff serving the community.
