Thursday's action around the diamond, while limited, offers more than enough quality with four matchups of playoff teams from last season.

Class 4A No. 2 Cherokee Bluff is already off to a hot start in the 2024 campaign. The Bears dispatched one Class 6A playoff team in Forest Park 10-0 on Tuesday to open the season. Now, the Bears will play host to another 6A playoff team in Denmark on Thursday. The Danes were the 2023 Region 6-7A champions and a Sweet 16 team last season.

North Hall heads to Dawson County in a matchup of teams that are expected to be improved after suffering first-round playoff exits last season. White County will play host to Rabun County in Cleveland.

East Forsyth, a quarterfinalist in 2023, heads to Class 5A Calhoun, a playoff team from last season as well.

And Jefferson travels to Class 6A Newnan in a battle of playoff teams from last season.
