GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Lakeview Academy girls pushed their win streak to 11 with an impressive 53-25 win over Loganville Christian on Friday to close out the regular season.
Dynesty Putman paced the Lady Lions (22-1, 6-0 GIAA 4A/3A) with 16 points and added 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
Taliah Gaither finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds and eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in her high school career.
Lakeview will take the No. 1 seed into the region tournament.

The win gave the Lady Lightning the region champion.
LCA was led by senior and Brenau University-commit Jia Thapar with 14 points. Adelyn Gough chipped in 9.
LCA, which receives a first round bye in the GAPPS state tournament, will get ready for the second round next week.
Emma Flowers, Ellie Roberts, and Jia Thapar received All-Region awards.

The Lady Wildcats hit for a program-best 21 3-pointers Friday in the blowout win over Tallulah Falls.
Lucy Hood led Rabun County with 21 points, Ellie Southards scored 17, Adelyn Thompson netted 15, and Mili Watts chipped in 13.
